Dear Sir/Madam,
Having attended the war weekend I thoroughly enjoyed it. What did annoy me and a great many others was the mindless vandalism caused to owners of 4x4's. On Saturday we parked our vehicle on the road along with many others just north of the fish farm. When we returned we noticed a Landrover with two punctures. As we went along we saw six more vehicles with punctures until finally we reached ours and guess what, a puncture. Now whatever was used, punctured the walls of the tyres so they cannot be repaired. My wife wandered further up the road and saw more vehicles that had been attacked. People around us who were changing their tyres said it was pointless informing the police. I disagreed and went to the Police station. No one there. I tried to used the 'yellow' phone, it was not working. There was a notice stating that the phone would not be in use on the 19th, but this was the 17th. If this was the act of a green activist on so called gas guzzlers they scored an own goal. These tyres cannot be repaired. This will require more of the earths resources' to replace; fuel was used by recovery vehicles for those vehicles with two punctures. Totally senseless. I would appreciate if you could print this so hopefully the criminal will read it. I would also appreciate if you forward this email to the local police.
Regards, Chris Campbell.
