We’ve had a really good autumn season with some brilliant presenters showing great images and imparting useful information. We’ve also had some keen competitions. This year in our monochrome competition we introduced a section for projected images with a new trophy named after our vice chairman Steve Hailey who has been a stalwart of the club for years. Both trophies were won by our secretary Janet Burdon with two absolutely beautiful images.

Our Digital Beginners Course was over-subscribed and well received, if there is sufficient interest we may run it again in early spring, if you might be interested drop an email to harry@harryk.co.uk .

In December we will be having our en-print competition and supper as well as seeing the images from the RPS Nature Group Exhibition (we should have had this last December but that month disappeared under a pile of snow, fingers crossed it doesn’t repeat itself).

In the new year we have some more great speakers and competition but what we are all looking forward to is a visit from Ian Cameron on March 1st. Ian is a remarkable photographer who lives on the Moray Firth in Scotland and this is a wonderful opportunity to see someone of his standing without having to travel miles and for only £5.00. This is an all ticket event and numbers are strictly limited to 100. To see more and to buy tickets check out our website.

If any of this interests you, just come along to one of our meetings where you will find a group of friendly people, of all abilities and experience, with a common interest.

Full details of the club and its programme, can be found on the clubs website (www.kirkbymoorside-camera-club.co.uk) or by requesting an information pack from Janet Burdon, email janet@kirkbymoorside-camera-club.co.uk
