SOME WORDS FROM GNASHER

            Woof! Sorry! – Hi I’m Gnasher and I was a doggy visitor to Pickering in  September this year.

            I used to live in Pickering, but my family moved away and now I just visit.  I looked forward to going round my old familiar walking places and appreciating those Pickering ‘smells’ again.

            I did enjoy myself, but maybe because I'm older now, I suddenly realized why some people grumble about dogs walking round the town and blame us all for the mess some leave on the pavement and grassy areas.

            My owners don't let me leave a mess around, they care too much about health and cleanliness as well as my good name to allow that to happen. There's never any mess left when I've been out for a walk. Anything I do gets picked up and put in the dog bin. There's lots of dog bins in Pickering. I know because I've seen them.

            Please doggy families, don't let your dog's get blamed, don't let us all get a bad name! Don't let your carelessness spoil other people's walks around this lovely town.

Please owners - Clean up after your dog.
