Dare I say, “It’s that time of year again”? Oh yes it is! You’ve guessed, our next production is the panto 2012! But more of that later.

The Wartime Revue, “All our Tomorrows” was once again very well received and we played to several full houses, which was great. As always, a huge thank you to Maureen Symonds who devised, produced and directed another creative and vibrant show. Also thanks to our MD, Clare Haynes, who was a War Show virgin!! Hopefully she enjoyed the experience! Thanks also to all who came to see the show. It is you who makes any show at the theatre a success and we are always grateful for your support.

So, back to panto. This year it is “Cinderella” by Norman Robbins. This panto was specially chosen to create a link with our Spring Show, which was the musical, Mr Cinders and is directed by David Tester. This is David’s first time as director for PMS but not his first time as a director. He has directed many plays and pantos in his home county of Surrey. He has resisted the temptation to direct with PMS for eight years but has finally succumbed! As always the show will be full of family fun, with good versus evil, true love overcoming all and the baddies getting their come uppance! The show runs 7,8 and 10-14 January 7.15pm nightly and matinees at 2.15 on 7,8 and 14 January. The Box Office opens mid December (01751 474833). What better way to spend a cold winter’s night or afternoon?!

Looking even further forward to our Spring Show 2012, Luke Arnold will be directing that popular musical “Annie”. More details in the next Beacon.

Don’t forget, if you feel you might like to join the crazy folks who make up the musical society, please feel free to get in touch!

 Linda Tester.
