Pickering Model Railway Show
August 2008

This years Pickering show, organised by the Scarborough and District Railway Modellers, will be held on Saturday 16th and Sunday 17th August at the Memorial Hall, Potter Hill.

Once again, this years show will  include some of the finest locally built models for your enjoyment, in N, EM, OO and O scales, featuring steam and diesel outline, in British, Continental and U.S. settings.

Even if you are not a modeller, come and take a look and be transported to the mountains of the Black Forest, the mines of America, the Scottish Highlands or the idyllic English countryside, watching the trains go by on a hazy lazy summers day.

All our modellers will be happy to discuss any aspect of the hobby, with several experts on hand to demonstrate the methods they use to construct the beautiful models on view, giving you a chance to gain first hand knowledge of their own trade secrets!

Some of the best trade stands on the circuit will also be in attendance, offering advice, and selling the products you need to start, add to or improve your own layout, with ready to run stock, scenic products, track, kits or electrical components.

Refreshments will be available all day.  There is lift access to all floors. A massive thank you to all who supported our show last year, we look forward to seeing you again at this years event.
