The Wilf  Ward  Family Trust  is  staging the Pickering Medieval Spectacular on  Sunday  17th  August 2008, 9.30am - 4.30pm. It's going to be a fantastic, fun-filled day out for all the  family at Pickering Showground.

          The event is being staged with support of Pickering Town Council, Pickering Rotary Club, Barclays Bank and  Pickering Showground.

          Among the range of events and attractions we have organised are:

• Jousting Knights - two fun packed shows to delight young and old alike.

• Bird of Prey Display - see how our  ancestors used these graceful birds to great effect.

• There will be a Gun Dog display.

• The Army will be setting up a big attraction area.

• There will be fun fair rides for the children.

• We will also have a variety of stalls including fine food and craft stalls (mostly under a marquee!) along with Refreshments.

Format of the day: Gates open 9.30am

First Show at 11.30am: Falconry display;

Jousters; Gun dog display.

          Tickets will be available to purchase on line from 1st May 2008 at a reduced rate.  However, there will also be tickets available on the day.

£6 Adults:  £4 Children (aged 5 – 14)

(Under 5s free):  £4 Older People.
