By the time this note is published our season will already be over a month old and the local leagues will be in full swing. But it is certainly not too late for new members to come along, watch and try their hand at this outdoor sport for all ages and abilities.

            Should you decide to give it a try you will not be asked to join until you have had a few ‘goes’ and made up your mind. A reduced subscription for the unexpired  period of the season will be available. League matches take place on afternoons or evenings during the week, although half of them are played away on our opponents Greens.

            If you would like to come and watch and see the facilities, ring the Secretary who will be able to tell you when our teams are playing at home on our Green in Mill Lane. Spectators are always welcome.

            The Bowls Club shares the excellent Recreation Club facilities with the Football and Cricket Clubs.
