We are delighted to announce details of a fantastic 2 day cycling challenge this summer, to help us raise funds for the work we do with families with special needs or disabled children in Ryedale.

The Vion Foods sponsored ‘Yorkshire Wolds Cycle Challenge’ is a 2 day event on Saturday 16th and Sunday 17th July, around the brand new 146 mile circular Yorkshire Wolds Cycle Route - which is being opened in June. It will start and finish at Norton College and follows mainly quiet country lanes around the stunningly beautiful Yorkshire Wolds. There will be a halfway overnight camp at Hutton Cranswick, where a barbecue, licensed bar and entertainment will be provided, as well as breakfast, before completing the 2nd day’s cycling back to Norton.

Entry is only £25.00 (with a minimum sponsorship target of £35.00 per person), which includes luggage / tent transfer as well as your food at the halfway point. Children under 16 are free, and we’re also hoping to attract groups from local companies or organisations. A group can consist of 4, 5, or 6 persons with a total entry fee of £100.00 (plus a minimum sponsorship target of £450.00)

Do you know any cyclists who might be interested? Or anyone who is up for a challenge? Perhaps you would even consider putting in a team entry?
