One of our regular contributors, Miss Ella Simpson has died after a long illness.

        Ella’s garden articles always brightened up the Beacon’s pages. Ella was a Guide for the Town Walks and a ‘leading light’ in the Hardy Plant Group of the Pickering & District Horticultural Society.

        Our condolences go to all her family and friends.
