LIFELINE GROUP |
|
Well readers, apart from our usual Christmas visit to our dear friend Pat Wilson's home on the 8th of December for carols and tea, Lifeline finished on 15th of December with a little party at Orchard Close. We had the usual goodies of mince pies, shortbread and tea and of course our dominoes, but as little surprise fun, we played “pass the parcel”, which many of us had not played since childhood and some of our older folk had quite forgotten how to play it! But it passed a little time with a few laughs thrown in. To end the afternoon, everyone went home with a little pot plant to brighten up a corner. It was unfortunate that the new year's snow stopped us from starting up again on the 5th of January, but it was too risky to try getting around in a those conditions-pretty as the snow looked to change the face of every garden! So it was a great relief when the snow and ice went. We held our first meeting on the 19th of January with much delight to welcome everyone for the start of 2010. Let us hope it will be a happy one for of all of us, and you'll as well, of course. Mrs. D. Packwood, Secretary. |
