As you can imagine, our winter programme was somewhat affected by the snow, we had no meetings from the end of November till early January. In many respects we were lucky as we didn’t need to cancel visiting speakers and we were able to move our En-print competition and Mince Pie Evening to January. (Mince pies were in short supply, but we made up for that with many other tasty snacks). By the end of February we had caught up with our back-log of competitions and had a wonderful evening with John Webster from Middlesbrough, he is one of a select group to have been awarded the MPAGB award. Our spring season starts with a visit by Dave Mason from London, his refreshingly different approach to photography should be inspirational. Later we have visits from two exceptional husband and wife teams, in April Dave and Sheila Coates and then in May Guy and Paula Davies. These speakers, plus our competitions and project groups ensure a full and varied programme. If any of this interests you, please come along to one of our meetings at 7.30 pm. on the first and third Thursdays of each month at the British Legion Club, Kirkbymoorside where you will find a group of friendly people, of all abilities and experience, with a common interest.
