Spring is in sight and Pickering Bowling Club members are eagerly waiting to get on their Green for another outdoor season of flat green bowling.

          Members will be gathering on the evening of Friday 15th April 2011 to pay their subscriptions and nominate for the competitions and teams they wish to join this year. These events provide opportunities in afternoons and evenings for everyone and there is also plenty of time for ‘social’ bowling and practice (except mornings when the groundsman normally has work to do.)

          The Club shares excellent facilities with the Cricket, Football and Social Clubs at the Recreation Ground. (The Ground is held in trust by the Recreation Ground Charity on behalf of the Townsfolk)      Anyone interested in seeing these facilities, whether an experienced bowler or merely interested in finding out more about the sport is very welcome to come along on Friday 15th April any time after 7:00pm.   Existing members will be on hand to provide any information required.
