We would like to thank the staff at Crossways Hotel for coming to our aid in November and December, and making those meetings, held there, so warm and comfortable. All our members did appreciate the help given.
Despite the disruption to our meetings before Christmas, all went well and we finished the year with our usual visit to Pat Wilson's house for carols round the piano and a lovely tea put on by our trusty helpers. What would we do without them?
The New Year found us back at Orchard Close on the 8th January and everyone seemed glad to be in familiar surroundings again.
Mrs. Stockdale, the warden, offered to put on a tea party for us, as we had missed our usual Christmas party.
It was arranged for 29th January and she provided a lovely spread of sandwiches scones and cakes which everyone enjoyed.
We intend to have a lunch just before Easter, and hopefully an outing when the weather improves.
Mrs. D. Packwood, Secretary.
