LIFELINE GROUP

          It seems an age away from our last outing in October 2010, when we had a lovely ride out into the countryside for an hour or so and then a delightful set tea at the Snainton Golf Club. Everyone enjoyed this, as we have not been here before and said it made a lovely finish to the day.

          As you all know, the snow started in November and stayed with us for such a long time. Even when the sun shone it had little effect in melting the ice that had become so hard to shift. Right up till Christmas our members still had not met regularly for their usual dominoes, as we could not be sure the paths were safe for them to walk, and we could not take the risk of anybody falling over.

          Even our proposed Christmas party did not happen as we had hoped and after the New Year our date for beginning was not helped by the heating boiler breaking down at Orchard Close. Still all is well now and we have got back into the swing of things and look forward with pleasure to the coming spring.

          We hope to plan something for when the weather is warmer and hopefully more settled later on. Best wishes to everyone for the coming year.
