World Theatre on your Doorstep

          A Cartoon History of Here - Thursday November 27th 7.30 pm Memorial Hall.

For audiences from 7 to 107 - "an hilarious live-action cartoon, starring friendly folks, fantastic fortunes, dazzling ambition and tender moments" will be created by the audience, with Yorkshire poet, broadcaster and comedian Ian McMillan and Cartoonist of the Year Tony Husband. Ian, who is from Barnsley, also hosts a weekly hit radio show “The Verb” and many TV shows including “Have I got News for You”. Tony, who is from Stockport, is Cartoonist in Residence at The Lowry Art Gallery in Salford. His    cartoons appear in many magazines and newspapers and he has won many awards.

          Pickering is fortunate to capture this team for one night only, (Thanks to Lottery Funding.) They will also be appearing at the Pickering Junior School for the delight of one class only! Tickets will be on sale at TV House (01751 472847) from the beginning of September - we expect a sell out but we are first announcing this in The Pickering Beacon, so residents get first chance to buy tickets. £10 and £8 concessions. Cheques - payable to Pickering and District Arts Group.
